About Kate Stewart

Kate Stewart is a creative business practitioner

She has a background in theatre, business planning and project management and sector specific business support for the creative sector before settling on working in the design industry 20 years ago

Kate is also well known as a Crowdfunding expert and regeneration consultant, supporting projects creating public spaces, buildings & events.  She is also an artist, jewellery maker, co founder of Friends of the Flyover and allegedly one of the 30 most influential Scousers on Twitter!

Everything that Kate engages in is fired by making positive change (fast!) for people and communities and all her work is about the right partnerships & collaborations with other creatives, individuals & businesses with different skills. Having been self employed for almost 30 years, she has won various accolades as a entrepreneur – from being a Cosmopolitan Woman of Achievement, Social Entrepreneur of the Year to more recently, being  named as one of the Leaders of Liverpool & as Independent Business Champion of the Year at the Merseyside Independent Business Awards 2014
