Ykids

YKids support young people across people by offering a broad range of services developed to improve their lives and aspirations. The vision of the charity is encapsulated in the interior design of this new facility within the former Orrell Park library. A large central space is designed to accommodate a wide range of activities for children and young people, supported by a bespoke family kitchen, office space for staff and working desks for young people on the sides, and supplementary informal meeting, gathering, learning spaces.

The design process commenced through visioning workshops with young people, staff and consultation with the local community. This fed into the charity’s project feasibility stage contributing the successful sourcing of capital funding. We remained with the project through to tendering, delivery and fit-out, designing digitally cut desking for work spaces.
